Administrative Remedy

The administrative remedy system of Taiwan was significantly reformed in 2000. The re-appeal proceeding no longer exists in the Administrative Appeal Law, and the proceeding as stipulated in the Code of Administrative Litigation is now amended to provide two levels of hearing, along with the creation of many new types of proceedings. With the enforcement of Administrative Proceeding Law as of Jan. 1, 2001, more choices of remedial channels are provided to the civilians who are in disputes with government agencies. The administrative remedy cases that we have been dealing include: taxation, land requisition, disputes concerning the Law of Land, civil aviation, BOT most favored applicant, environmental issues, intellectual property, Fair Trade Law issues, consumer protection, employment of aliens, labor disputes, and disciplinary issues of public servants.

We are retained by many prestigious domestic and international construction companies to serve as their consultants. Many of our attorneys also act as arbitrators or members of mediation committee for several major projects.
